Staying hydrated during the day can help keep you focused and on track. The sheer number of water fountains these days allow more ease in refilling water bottles.
You should always eat healthy, even when you are at college. Many students gain weight their first year in school. You have to watch what you eat. Pizza and high fat foods should be avoided at all costs. Not only is it expensive, those extra pounds can be hard to lose.
Make sure you are prepared for tests with all the materials you will need. Even a simple thing, like forgetting your calculator, can ruin your score. Most professors will not lend you equipment; therefore, ensure you have everything before class begins.
Before you go away to college you should know all you can about what you will be majoring in. This will make sure that you will select the college that has the program courses in your field of interest. Have a conversation with the director of admissions to make sure that the classes you require are and will remain available the next few years.
Sleep! Staying up to complete assignments and study can be easy, but you have to sleep. If you aren’t sleeping enough, you’ll be irritable and forget what you’ve learned; not the way to enjoy college!

Any class required for graduation that does not enthuse you should be passed early on to free up class slots later in your college years that you will enjoy more.
